Yes I agree. As I said earlier, to me stacked full size connectors is the way to go.

Totally agree, stacked would make them more robust, & as we already have stacked USB, it would make perfect sense.

Of course there are many people, but generally most people don't think about it. After all, I can adapt a HDMI cable down to micro HDMI with a device that costs UK£2. Or buy the entire cable for less than UK£4 for 1M or less than UK£5 for 2M.

No I would never suggest a laptop instead of a Pi. That's like suggesting to someone that they buy a sack of potatoes instead of a crate of beer.

Maybe. I co-own some student semi-furnished accommodation so whilst the management company does day to day I do the post-exam, before they leave inspections and it's amazing just how much kit students have nowadays. We used to supply a basic 32 inch TV but they all want 60 inch ones with soundbars so they're left to rent one themselves nowadays. Plenty of places here rent stuff to students - it is the biggest concentration of them in Europe.

Certainly isn't like my days when all we had a Pioneer hi-fi, a Philips cassette recorder and a Sinclair solder it yourself calculator
